News
June 11 – The day-to-day administration of the Civic and Police Group Life Insurance Plans Corporation will transition from the Winnipeg Civic Employees’ Benefits Program (WCEBP) to the City of Winnipeg.
This transition allows WCEBP staff to focus on their core responsibilities – Pension and Long-term Disability Plan administration.
HOW DOES THIS AFFECT YOU?
The target date for the transition is June 30, 2025. Until then, WCEBP staff will continue to provide day-to-day Group Life Insurance Plan administration services. During this period, Members should continue to contact WCEBP as per usual for their day-to-day needs, such as beneficiary changes.
POST TRANSITION CONTACT INFORMATION
After June 30, 2025, all Active employees will contact their Human Resource department for their day-to-day needs. Retired Program members will contact the City of Winnipeg Total Compensation and Benefits unit at EmployeeBenefits@winnipeg.ca for their day-to-day needs.
BUSINESS AS USUAL FOR PENSION AND LTD PLAN ADMINISTRATION
There is no change to the administration of the Program. Program Members should continue to contact WCEBP as per usual for Pension and Long-Term Disability Plan services. We look forward to helping you.
